After linking to a reflector, say 12A…..
After I key up with CQCQCQ in my radio, among other things BER: 0.0% crawls across the bottom of my radio.
What's the haps?

Well, I just Googled this and found the following:
REMOTE FEEDBACK
Several remote commands are supported by all modules. You may be interested in the BER analysis. Frequently, after almost every transmission, the repeater will send you the Bit-Error-Rate value for your transmission. Depending on how your transceiver is configured, it should scroll across the bottom of the screen after you disengage the repeater. The lower, the better - down to 0.0%.
