26 MAR 2017: DStar Commander V2.02 is most current release for the DVAP, v2.01 remains current for the dvMega
The DStar Commander enhanced images for the G4KLX ircddbgateway on the Raspberry Pi are available here. The download links are listed below:
V2.02 (DVAP version only) is a maintenance and update release with compatibility for the new Raspberry Pi Zero Wireless
V2.01 is a maintenance and bugfix release with no new features added to V2.00
V2.00 has been rebuilt on the Raspbian Jessie OS and implements the G4KLX ircddbgateway dated 20151116 and dstarrepeater version 20151012, including CCS7. This release adds compatibilty with the new RasPi 3B and supports the Pi 3's onboard WiFi and Bluetooth (note: on the dvMega version of the image, the onboard WiFi and Bluetooth is disabled to keep a stable UART dedicated to the GPIO serial I/O pins).
Although I built this version for 4GB SD cards, some 4GB cards may not work with this new version due to size variances, and since 4GB cards are becoming somewhat scarce in retail channels, from V2.00 onward the recommended SD/Micro-SD card size is now 8GB or larger. This build also expands the dvMega freq range to include 430-450MHz. Because there are several bug fixes incorporated into the image, I recommend most users upgrade to V2.01
V2.02 with kernel and firmware updated a/o 26 MAR 2017; runs on the Raspberry Pi Models B, B+, 2B, 3B, Zero, and Zero Wireless. Supports 2m and 70cm DVAPs (but not the 220 MHz DVAP at present).
V2.01 with kernel and firmware updated a/o 15 JUN 2016; runs on the Raspberry Pi Models B, B+, 2B, 3B, and Zero. Supports dvMega single-band (UHF) and both dual-band hotspots (Arduino and dual-band RadioPi)
Note that there are separate image files for the DVAP and dvMega. They are not interchangeable...you must use the correct image for your device!

This image is an enhanced build of Jonathan Naylor's (G4KLX) ircddbgateway and dstarrepeater hotspot software.
DStar Commander runs in the background in conjunction with the G4KLX software, and makes a number of enhancements to installation and operation:
1. Raspbian Linux kernel and Pi firmware load has been updated to run on the Raspberry Pi models B/B+/2B/3B/Zero/Zero Wireless.
2. An interactive PC setup program is included, enabling quick Q&A-based hotspot configuration on the PC while the SD card is still in the card reader after flashing the image. Enables truly headless setup, even for users that must configure WiFi settings to get their Pi connected to a secured WiFi LAN.
3. An even simpler single-step auto-configuration--put a fresh image into the Pi, set your radio's URCALL to "SETCONF" and transmit, and the gateway configures itself for basic operation.
4. A range of radio-commanded features to enhance DStar operating with a UHF or VHF DVAP, or a dvMega board (tested on both the single and dual-band RadioPi boards):
- Shutdown and reboot commands enable orderly halts and restarts, eliminating SD-card scrambling power interruptions while the Pi is still running.
- Automated host update command performs a server-based retrieval of reflector definitions and formats them to allow trouble-free access to XRF, REF and DCS reflectors, even on previously troublesome cell phone or hotel data connections, with no need for special router configuration or host file manipulation by the user.
- A system info command sends hotspot vitals (gateway ID, freq, and IP address) to you via text and/or email
- On-the-go WiFi reconfiguration rapidly switches between up to three configured WiFi connections on a WiFi-enabled Pi
- Ability to command gateway frequency and module changes, permitting headless field QSY to move away from interference
- A set of watchlist commands that maintain a list of watched-for callsigns; the program sends you an e-mail/text message when one of your watched calls is detected on the gateway
- Automated cleanup of accumulated log files via a cleanup command
- Sendlogs command sends gateway and repeater logs to you via e-mail.
- CCS ON/OFF commands to enable and disable CCS7 capability
