I am using ver 2.01 with a DV Mega board and a RPi3. Everything has set up properly and works as it should except, I can't reach REF's only DCS and XRF reflectors. I am using a Verizon and a AT&T cellular hotspot. On the AT&T I opened all the ports from 2000-31000 and gave the Pi a static address. I haven't changed the config on the Verizon hotspot. I have the exact same problem, not able to connect to REF's using either hotspot. One other problem...think it might be the radio, but not sure.....I'm using a IC-91AD...many times when I key the radio up, say on REF001C on the radio it will say REF001C, but on the D Star repeater screen it says CQCQCQ in the UR field. It does this no matter what I want to send, shutdown, unlink, info...doesn't matter, and when the correct UR field will come up on the computer is a crap shoot. Sometimes it comes up the first time, sometimes not till the 8th time...and then the program responds correctly? ? When my command is properly understood when trying to connect to a REF I get one of two responses. D Plus link to REF009 C was refused or link command from kc0cat b to ref009 C issued via UR call by kc0cat. The second one is when it hangs up on linking to REF009 C.

There's no need to open ports when using DStar Commander.
The correct linking command for REF009C is REF009CL...without the "L" it won't work. If you're getting "link refused" then something unhappy is happening on the reflector and it's actively refusing to let you connect. You'd have to take that up with the reflector SYSOPs.
Regarding the wonky URcall behavior, make sure you do not have "RX call sign auto-write" enabled in the radio (see the IC-91AD manual, page 93).

I have everything working on the DV Mega/RPi. The radio still sometimes sends the command, sometimes sends cqcqcq. So, it was a good excuse to buy a new radio. I bought a ID51+...I'm a happy camper now!
