If your gmail text/e-mail forwarding stops working

Apparently Google has been changing things up w/r/t security settings in gmail, and in a way that can affect your e-mail and text using gmail as an MTA, as DStar Commander does.
If you have this problem, see this page: support.google.com/accounts/answer/6009563
The short version, is you need to allow access for "less secure" apps (which is why I recommend setting up a separate gmail account that only DStar Commander will use), and if that doesn't solve it, then you have to visit the page referenced in the above link from a computer, and open up access per the instructions.
