Hi,
I'm running DStar Commander and G4KLX image on a Pi2B+ with the DVAP. I've noticed that if I'm connected to a reflector for a period of more than a few hours, the connection hangs and requires a reboot of the Pi to be able to link again (although the Pi itself doesn't crash). This has happened many times now. When I check the log files in /var/log the ircDDBgateway app continues but the DStarRepeater app stops reporting when the connection fails. I have replaced the SD card so don't think it's this. The image I am using is was obtained in July 2015.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

I've noticed the same thing, but rebooting seems to be the only recourse. Haven't seen any solutions anywhere. In fact, I don't believe the DVAP itself is being made or sold anymore. Probably going to have to move on to the Shark when mine dies. It doesn't appear that Commander is being updated anymore either.

Hi there, I can’t help specifically on this issue other than to say the same thing happens using Andy Taylor’s Pi-Star software if that helps, it may at least save you searching for an issue in Commander that doesn’t exist. I suspect the issue is more to do with some control setting (feature??) in the reflector setup.
Commander is a fantastic piece of software, I do believe Bob’s time has now been seconded to other things so yes sadly we might not see further updates now.
Good luck in your quest to resolve. Regards Mark

It would really be nice if someone could update it to Raspian Buster and perhaps update the links. I've tried, but I'm just not knowledgeable enough about Linux to do so.

I have been scouring the internet for updates myself, but it doesn't look propmising. However the solution might be to find a bright kid fluent in linux willing to tackle a project to help get dstar commander updated to at least Buster. From what I've read you would have to update from Jesse to each subsequent update until you get to the latest version. You can't just jump directly to the latest release. There are dependancies, libraries, and packages to be considered.
I did update jessie until I got to the end of the road, but like you I'm just not a linux wiz. I piddle but that's the most I can do at my age.
