I have successfully brought my DV Mega/RPi 3 into service. Seems to be working properly w/ID51A+. I ran Pi updates and installed tightvncserver. I installed vnc viewer client on my laptop. Here's the problem .... when I VNC into the DS Commander desktop GUI, I cannot open up the server and gateway apps or their corresponding config apps. I can highlight desktop icons with mouse but no amount of clicking (fast or slow) or return key stroke will open apps up. Mouse does however work normally when opening up LX Terminal icon. Keyboard/mouse/monitor direct to RPi, during initial start-up, all worked fully and as as expected. When I "SSH putty" into RPi everything is good, of course since that does not accept mouse type inputs. I am at the end of my limited technical bag of tricks. ANY AND ALL CONSTRUCTIVE HELP WOULD GREATLY BE APPRECIATED. THANX >73 de AG4R

Tightvnc server is already installed and configured as part of the image. Apparently you have reinstalled it, overwriting the configuration I have set up, and you are now connecting to a secondary desktop when you VNC in instead of the primary (:0) desktop. Nothing is happening, presumably because the G4KLX programs are already running on the Pi in a different desktop than the one you're in. We spent a lot of time and effort extensively documenting the image and its setup/use...please carefully read what's there and start over.
Also, installing Linux updates may break the image as well. Linux is constantly evolving, and changes to the OS and/or to some of the included utility and ancillary software can break dependencies in the carefully set up and tested configuration.

W6KD BOB, SOLVED THE PROBLEM. I re-formatted the SD card and loaded a fresh D-Star Commander image that I had not tampered with. I ran the interactive PC set-up, resized the SD card partition, and ran the repeater and gateway configs. Nothing more. I now have a fully functional DV Mega Pi that I can VNC into with a fully functional mouse on the Desktop GUI. What did I learn from this? The same thing I have preached to others my whole "maintenance life" ......" IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT DUMMIE!".......Kind'a makes me a hypocrite. Bob, thanks again, for spotting my foo-paw.
