gateway and personal callsigns

Hi,
I'm using W6KD enhanced G4KLX software on a PI with a DVAP and with my own callsign of G4CUI B as Repeater 1 in the ircDDBgateway spec. (G4CUI is registered on the DStar network). I'm applying for a simplex gateway callsign of MB6XXX which will allow me to operate over an area of several miles instead of just my own home. However I am unsure of a couple of issues:
1) Do I specify MB6XXX as repeater 1?
2) Do I need to register MB6XXX with the DStar network in addition to G4CUI?
3) Presumably I then continue to use my personal call G4CUI to access my gateway, and any other ham will be able to do likewise so long as their call is registered on the DStar network?
