I was listening to a DStar QSO the other day and I was at a point where I didn't have the freedom to join in... unfortunately.
One of the participants - a newbie to DStar - was asking for advice from more experienced users about whether he should purchase a DVAP or a dvMega since he was planning to set up a Raspberry Pi as a gateway.
One gentleman jumped in and stated that he's heard of many problems with dvMega's and would absolutely not recommend getting one since he knows several people who've been forced to return them. That surprised me...
I own two dvMega's and two DVAP's. All of them work, although as mentioned in this forum the 2-Meter DVAP has issues with G4KLX-based software and my experiences support that view. I've never had an issue with my dvMega's nor had I heard of any issues until that QSO on Sunday. My thought was that perhaps the person panning the dvMega didn't make the GIO pin adjustments required (but not by the DStar Commander software, by the way, if you use the correct image).
So I'm wondering... is anyone who follows this forum had issues with his/her dvMega? I'd like to hear about it.
Thanks! Jess ND1L

No, no problems with either my UHF DV Mega or DV Mega GMSK hotspot -both using the enhanced G4KLX software from the link on this forum.

No problems with my DVMEGA Pi board or the DVMEGA Arudino board except the ones where I did something stupid in the config. I don't have the dual band pi board.

Nope, I have two 440 DVMegas and they work like a charm with the Pi Model 2, with WiFi and/or Ethernet connections. Alan, K2RHK
