I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 10. I was having a problem with the image on my SD card (Sandisk Extreme 16GB). I used ImageWriter and DSTAR commander to image the card. After I completed the process, I put it in the Pi and turned it on...but the Pi wouldn't recognize it. I put the card back on my windows box and opened it up. The files looked fine. So I tried a different card (Kingston 8GB), same problem. But when I tried another card I had that was previously configured, the Pi read it fine. My next step was download and install a generic version of Raspbian from the Raspberry Pi foundation. I put the image on the Kingston card and put it in the Pi, guess what, it worked this time. I then reimaged it with ImageWriter and configured it with DSTAR commander. This time it worked. Anyone have any explanation about why this is happening?
Thanks
Bob

You might try reformatting a problem card with a low-level format utility like SDFormatter.
Also, I have no idea if/how well Win32DiskImager is supported in Win 10.

Windows 10 has definitely impacted Imagewriter. I tried running Imagewriter as admin, but that does not resolve the problem. I have been able to work around it by using my Mac to put the initial image on the SD card and then use DSTAR commander to configure it.
