My apologies if this is a sticky somewhere.. I did a brief search and did not see it, so i am going to assume that this is not a common problem..
I have installed the commander image on my Pi3 (with DVMege single band)
The strange thing that may or not be related to the image is that my ID-5100 rarely displays (or announces) call signs now.
I can hear the stations just fine and I can see them in the raspberry logs but the radio seems pretty picky on what call signs it will display and when it will display them now.
I am very new to Dstars and still have very little understanding of the way all the processes interact.

You can try increasing the TX Delay value from the default 150ms to 300ms. You'll have to access the Pi either via VNC or with a keyboard/mouse/monitor and close the DStar Repeater window, then run the G4KLX D-Star Config utility by double-clicking on the desktop icon. Scroll to the right until you get to the MODEM tab, click on "configure", and adjust the tx delay slider. Click on File-Save and exit the config program. It's also not a bad idea to re-open the D-Star Config program and verify the settings "took" by re-visiting the MODEM tab and checking that the new TX Delay is what you had set. Then restart the D-Star Repeater program by double-clicking on its desktop icon.
