In reference to the DStar Commander V2.01, it states dvMega/7021. Is that a special board or can I use the single band YHF DV MEGA board sold by Gigaparts?

It was written for either of the two dvMega RadioPi boards (the single band or the dual band), or a (no longer produced) 7021 project board produced by a radio club in California.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will order the DVMEGA from Gigaparts in a couple of days. They have a 3D printed Raspberry Pi case that has the antenna hole and support for the DVMEGA board. I downloaded the image and read over the docs. It's nice that I don't have to connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse or use vpn to set it up. Nice job.

I received my DVMEGA and the 3D printed case today and have it working great. Do you have any idea what the power consumption is? I was thinking of getting a power bank to power it for portable use and also as a kind of UPS as well?

It'll depend on which version of the Pi you're using and if/what sort of WiFi adapter as well. Rough average across the various versions is ~300ma @ 5v with WiFi.
