Hi all I've installed the latest DStar Commander image to my Rpi and can connect to it however I don't have my callsign yet as I'm doing my course in a couple of weeks. Is there any way can listen to the comms so I can learn? Currently my ID-51 can see the RPi as it clicks over to transmit when I PTT however I'm not sure if I need to register or if any of this is pointless without my callsign and being registered on the Dstar network. A quick screen shot is attached to show what I can see. Thanks for all the help. Neil (Newbie but very keen to learn) Attachments:

Strictly speaking, it's not legal to use the dvMega hotspot even in receive mode without an amateur license, since the hotspot itself is transmitting on a ham frequency to the radio when receiving a signal from a linked system. There are some internet feeds, for example the broadcastify feed for the XRF002A-XRF310A-XRF555A constellation at www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/23224, and there are podcasts of past DStar Roundtable nets at hamnetarchives.podbean.com/ both of which can be enjoyed without breaking any regulations before you get licensed.
