No Dstar audio signals or control

I'm having issues with my new Simplex GMSK DvMega modem running Raspberry V3B and Commander 2.01 software. It seems like the software, both "IRCDDB Gateway" and DstarRepeater are working ok, as I can see traffic on the REF014C reflector in the Dstar Repeater window, but no audio or signal coming from the Yaesu FT-1500m. My Icom 9100 can't communicate with the software through my simplex radio Yaesu FT-1500m even seeing the transmit light on the gmsk modem board light. When I transmit the 9100 to the Yaesu simplex repeater the modem transmit light comes on but locks up the Arduino. (Two Orange lights stay lit and have to reboot or restart programs) I can get the software to connect to a reflector during start-up but have no control using the 9100 (unlink etc.). Although I did see it intermediately transmit incoming signals a couple of times showing briefly on "S" meter. It doesn't transmit any signals 99% of the time. Both radios on same frequency, no offset. I'm using a straight through males 6 pin Din cable on the modem to the radio. Radio is 9600K capable. Six wire Connection verified. I am at a loss trying to figure the problem. Both my call and second terminal are registered with Dstar. Kept both repeater fields empty in 9100. Is there anything in the Dstar Repeater window I should be looking for? Errors? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
