Problem with directly connected HDMI monitor

I have recently brought up my hotspot on RPI3 with DVMega board - dual radio. DSTar Commander V2.01.
1. Any clues where to look for anything that could have disabled the HDMI output? I have tried two monitors and two cables. VNC to the desktop is fine. I am using Hotspot connected to my wifi but also was missing HDMI output on wired connection.
Video SOLVED! /boot/config.txt file needed "hdmi_force_hotplug=1" line to be uncommented.
2. Where are the configuration files that tell ircDDBGateway how to configure on reboot, and likewise DStar Repeater?
