Hi,
I am sorry to be a bother, I have had my DVAP UHF running with my RPI for a month now with no issues and today I left my it connected to a Reflector and came back awhile later and was unable to get any commands to work from the radio. I did a controlled reboot using VNC, when the Pi comes back up I receive a transmission from the Pi/DVAP of 'Not Linked'. No commands that I attempt to send from the radio show up in the software running on the Pi that I can see, and no responses(audible) come back at all.
I am using a RPI B+, 16GB Class 10 SD, Edimax WiFi USB, UHF DVAP, Icom ID-31A.
The first thing I tried was doing a VNC session into the Pi and found three windows up(first time looking since I used the configuration tool in Windows and never actually went to the Pi until now);
D-Star Repeater (DVAP) - 20140521 Status - RX State = Listening, Rpt State = Listening, TX = Off Receiver - Squelch = Closed, Signal = -106, it changes to around -55 when I key up my radio. Header - No values in any of the fields but Loss/BER: 0.0% Timers - Timeout = 0/180, other fields are blank. Gateway - Ack Text = Not linked, other fields are blank. Log - It has activity from today, but not sure it is recent.
ircDDB Gateway - 20140326 Status - ircDDB = Disabled, D-PRS = Active Links - Repeater 1: KT1GGR C Not Linked Log - It is active and showing recent activity.
There is a command window, but it is empty with no commands in it, just sitting at the pi@raspberrypi ~ $
Any thoughts, or should I take the SD out and re-run the configuration utility?
Thanks much! Patrick

It looks like maybe your radio and DVAP are a bit off freq. The empty command window is normal. The "not linked" message at boot is also normal. When you key up, you should see the signal come up to ~-50 as it did, and in the header block of the DStarRepeater window you should see the radio's data in the UR, MY fields. If not, you either have an issue with the radio's programming, or perhaps the DVAP and the radio are just enough off-freq from each other the DVAP isn't decoding the signal.
There should be a green light on the DVAP when you xmit with the radio. If you're not seeing that, the DVAP is not decoding a DStar signal from the radio. If you have another radio or a local repeater you might consider making sure the radio works properly with another receiver.
It could be the program got corrupted on the SD card...reflashing the card will eliminate that as a possible issue.
Regards

Weird, I went to check out what you referenced and everything is working good again. Go figure! I need to make a back-up of my SD though, definitely a scare. I definitely was not seeing the UR and MY fields populate yesterday though so there was something going on with the communications. I will keep an eye on it. Thanks again! Patrick
