Hello everyone! Greetings from Venezuela
I bought a Raspberry Pi + to work on with my DVAP 440 At Venezuela we don't have D-star repeaters....but I have had D-star devices ...and actually I still have my old IC92AD.....and brand new IC-5100 & Id-51 Anniversary.....as you guess....not having D-star repeaters closer....I have never use it......and of course never registered....
After test my DVAP 440 directly to my laptop.....I easily link and unlink to reflector.....just for listening....(cause sadly I'm not registered) But when I connect my DVAP to my Raspberry.....all going good....blue light turn on and blink......I can link and unlink, receive beacon voice...BUT can't listening any transmission..... Any Idea to fix it?......Any idea to get registered....I haven't had luck with administrators I got in contact....
Cheers.....Happy Holidays!!!

George;
Are you able to link to any reflectors? What kind of internet connection are you using with your Ras Pi? It sounds like there is a problem with the internet to the Pi, perhaps a firewall issue or possibly some incorrect WiFi settings.
You might try registering with one of the US registration servers, such as the Papa System (www.papasys.com)--but DO NOT register in more than one place.

Today Dec 12 2014 I checked my Internet, WiFi access & Firewall...I didn't find anything wrong DVAP has open ports at my Linksys Router as well as at my Cable modem. Checking Raspberry I found ircDDB Gateway -20140326 status says ircDDB: Connecting D-PRS: Waiting Links Shows my Callsign Linked or Not linked as well as I do -----Dongles Shows Nothing......Log....looks ok....Where may I find all log? I guess its something wrong with ircDDB.....but I don't find it If you have any idea....Its very Welcome Best Regards George

The log files on a Pi running the DStar Commander image are located in the /var/log directory on the Pi. The ircDDBGateway-yyyy-mm-dd.log and DStarRepeater-yyyy-mm-dd.log files are the ones of interest.
ircDDB has nothing to do with linking--it's the backbone link that enables callsign routing. I recommend you leave ircDDB disabled (the default setting) until you get everything else working.
