I have tried to make my I phone a hotspot for my DV mega and cannot get it to work. I am running Dstar Commander and have ircddb app on my phone. I thought I was setting up correctly but will not work.Any help would be appreciated.

Robert, Not sure if this is helpful or not but discovered the iPhone will not function as a hotspot IF it is currently connected to a wifi source itself. Bottom line is if your at home, you have to have it "forget" your home wifi so it is only connected to your cellular provider when using it as a hotspot.

Make sure you don't have an apostrophe in the iPhone's name, i.e. "Robert's iPhone"--the apostrophe will prevent non-apple devices from connecting to the hotspot, as it's a nonstandard character in an SSID outside of the Apple world.
