My DHAP (rpi/UHF DVAP) stopped booting due to what the screen says is an internal error: Oops - BUG: 0 [#1] PREEMPT ARM I downloaded the new G4KLX image for the DVAP. I reformatted the SD card and performed all of the steps to make the DHAP functional again (several times). I finally bought new class 10 SD cards, performed a long format and tried it again with the same results. What am I doing wrong?

Which version of the Pi are you using, and whose image are you using on the DHAP?

I am using the "B" version of the pi and your latest G4KLX image for the DVAP. All of this is being done on a Windows 7 machine. I have run the DHAP without incident since October of 2014 almost every day until it suddenly stopped booting with the identical error. New SD cards and a redownload of the image didn't resolve the issue. If a phone call or email would work better for you that would not be a problem. The Denver W0CDS is down until further notice so I can't get on the Thursday evening roundtable.

Sounds like either the RasPi, the DVAP, or the USB cable has developed a hardware problem. I'd start by changing the USB cable between the RasPi and the DVAP (the DHAPs had a fair number of issues with bad cables early-on). If that doesn't fix it, then I'd take the DVAP out and try using it on a PC or another RasPi to verify that it's still working. If that test works, then it's probably a hardware problem on the Pi.

As usual you were right on. It was the USB cable. My last response was a little too soon, but again, thank you.

Always good when it turns out to be the low-hanging fruit! ;-)
