Just another update for you Bob.... I downloaded V.1.12 last night and used PC for programming the settings in my iCOM ID-51a Plus HT radio. Initially did not link to repeater/reflector, but after several tries it finally linked. I rebooted then tried it again. It linked after the 3rd try. I shut down then powered up. It connected to internet with no problems. I keyed radio to link to repeater/reflector. It worked after 2nd try. maybe I am still missing something here or is the 2nd and 3rd time to key-up the HT to link normal? Either way, I am happy that it is working now and as I have mentioned previously, once the unit starts to work, it is rock solid.

It's not normal to have to try over and over. Works first time every time here unless the internet is down.
What happened when you tried to link? Did you get a response from the gateway? No response might indicate that the radio and dvMega are slightly off freq from each other. "Linking to" means the gateway name resolved OK but the connection isn't being made for one of a number of reasons. "Unlinked or Not linked" usually means it did not resolve the gateway name. When you say it "did not link" it unfortunately doesn't tell me enough to even guess what's happening.

Bob, it says "NOT LINKED"..... I tried to download the V.1.12... unfortunately, after the initial boot up and after I shutdown and powered back up.. the same thing happened. I am definitely doing something that is not right or consistent with your instructions... is my HT set up correctly? is the image downloaded correctly? I am about to hang myself...

i even tried the basic headless set up using the auto config "SETCNFG" command. the same thing... I am sure that I am following everything correctly but I get the same results overtime... it works ok the first time. but when i shut down, it does not work anymore unless I rewrite the image and ran it as initial set up etc.

When you first install the image, are you setting it up for e-mail and text? If so, you should get two texts/e-mails after the first startup, one "Success" message for the config, and another for an update of the hosts files.
What reflector are you trying to connect to, and how exactly are you trying to make the link?
"NOT LINKED" generally means that the gateway was unable to find or resolve an address for the reflector you're trying to connect to.
It's probably going to be necessary to connect a monitor via HDMI or VNC to the Pi to get a better idea of what's going on with the Pi.

Hi Bob,
I was having WIFI connection issues with version 1.11.. Happy to say 1.12 has resolved them. Thank you very much.
The issues I was having is when I would connect to my mobile cellular hot spot, it would connect to the wifi for about 5 seconds disconnect and the reconnect again. Sometimes but not very often it would connect to my reflector I had set up for auto connect. Most of the time it would just say linking. I would have to unlink and then link again for it to connect properly.
Now it connects up and inks to the reflector every time. It takes 15 seconds to connect to the cellular hotspot, 25 seconds to connect to the DVMEGA Dualband board, then the reflector is right behind it at about 30 to 35 seconds.
I am using a Raspberry PI P2 and a Dualband MEGA board.
It is has been working flawlessly in the last few days. About 15 connects so far at 100%.
Thank you very much for your efforts.
