I am facing a strange problem. when I transmit to my new MEGA/Pi B+ (not the 2 model) combo with the Commander image, occasionally, (more often than makes it usable) I am seeing errors when I transmit to the MEGA/Pi from across the room. I am seeing the MY Call corrupted about every other time I transmit. When I do get in the audio is 100% according to the recieving party. I am at wits end about a fix. Have any of you seen this before? Please let me know any possible fixes...Thanks Please look at the LOG on the D-star repeater window at the following links for what the system is showing when this error occurs. drive.google.com/file/d/0B0nQjls0m5VJek44dTRlLWo0UkE/view?usp=sharingdrive.google.com/file/d/0B0nQjls0m5VJeGNhazFCN3U2QkU/view?usp=sharingKO4L Lloyd

Very likely your radio and your dvMega are slightly off-frequency from each other. The MYCALL field is sent in a part of the DStar data frame that is subject to forward error correction...for the MYCALL to be corrupted, there has to be a pretty high bit error rate, and that's usually caused by the hotspot, or the radio, or even both being off-frequency.
The DVAP has a very nice calibration utility...I am not aware of something similar for the dvMega. Maybe an e-mail to Guus is in order.

Thanks Sir, I will check both my radio and the Mega board on the service monitor. I suspected that as a possible cause and waited until the Pi/Mega warmed up some. (on about 40 min) to help stablize it. Guus wanted me to also reload the pgm again...I will post my solution when I find it.

Aha! Found the Icom IC-91ad was off freq enough on transmit to send errors from time to time. I compensated by transmitting 5kc lower than the receive freq and all is good... The radio was used to me. (bet I know why it was sold from original owner)
Time for a ID-51 in due time..
Thanks for your help. KO4L Lloyd
