Bob --
Had to change Verizon Pantech hotspot wifi band from 2.4 to 5.0 because of interference issues on 2.4 when using our computers. But the Pi doesn't work -- can't connect to the reflectors -- on 5.0.
Do I (a) need a different wifi USB dongle/plug; (b) is here a config change needed via Commander; c) another Pi to use exclusively on 2.4; (d) some other solution. I suppose I'd prefer to keep it on 5.0 for everything to minimize chances of interference. . .
Any help would be appreciated. FYI I usually listen on 9C or 12A ... but of course can only do so when I'm not using the iPads, Macs, etc. If I hear you on the radio I'll pop in.
Thanks,
Joe - KK9TT

If "can't connect to the reflectors" means can't connect to the internet,
The Answer is (a) but you shuld check compatibility between pi and a new USB wifi adaptor(dongle/plug).
Maybe Your USB wifi adaptor(dongle/plug) is not capable to receive 5G wifi signal but 2.4G.
Good luck,
