Seeing as we have just changed to daylight savings time in the USA today, it's probably worthy of a quick mention how D*Star Commander deals with time zone changes.
In two words: it doesn't. Because it doesn't need to. The DStar Commander image sets the raspberry pi to UTC (aka GMT, Zulu, etc) time, and the internal programming always uses that as a reference. So no changes to clocks, time zone settings etc are ever needed.
