D Star Commander wont link

Hi all, I have been using the RPI3/DVMEGA/D Star commander since it was released, Lately however I noticed my hotspot locks up on REF30C and REF1C. I don't know why but I decided since my images were more than a year old, to format the SD card and reload D Star Commander.
Having reloaded a fresh image of Ver 2.01 (for DVMEGA) I find that i can not link to REF001C. I then tried REF030C, REF12A, XRF002A, XRE012A. all with the same result. The voice say linking to REFXXX. The Hotspot does not link.
Did they make changes to the D Star System that I don't know about?
